Summary of essential job functions:

The Grounds Maintenance Senior Technicians are responsible for overseeing the Grounds Maintenance Team Leads with the daily activities of the FN and LN Grounds Maintenance Workforce.  The Senior Technician is an experienced leader working with minimal supervision.


Roles and responsibilities:

  • Implements the grounds maintenance schedule for account managers to include activities such as mowing, edging, blowing, pruning, fertilizing, etc.
  • Completes the necessary paperwork including timesheets, work orders, change orders,
  • material requisitions, and client tickets.
  • Plans and organizes the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available. Also ensures that job is completed to the standards in the most time-efficient manner.
  • Manages a team of employees, including handling personnel issues on site and training employees on policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
  • Briefs team leaders and makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns.
  • Maintains assigned equipment and notifies supervisor of needed repairs.
  • Uses blue prints, maps & manuals to perform work; interprets written & oral instructions.
  • Follows all safety precautions.
  • Participates and leads in training.
  • Communicates effectively and courteously with customers, peers and others.
  • Actively participates in team activities such as problem solving & planning.
  • Works various schedules as assigned.
  • Participate in monthly inspections of the data collected and the reports provided to ensure validity.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.



Minimum qualifications and education requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
  • Grounds Maintenance Experience Preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a staff comprised of entry and journey level personnel
  • Current Home of Record Driver's License
