Summary of essential job functions:

Risk Management (RM) Analysts are responsible for collecting, analyzing, processing, and disseminating information derived through various open source means.  They collect open source information for their assigned geographic region within the area of interest.  RM Analysts provide briefings to customers to ensure they are kept abreast of potential threats to Balad Air Base and other locations where F-16 program assets could be affected.

RM analysts are responsible for researching, developing, presenting, and publishing all-source intelligence products at the tactical and operational level. They process and analyze open source information to identify relevant threat trends, capabilities, and dispositions.  After evaluation and assessment, RM Analysts prepare products which provide decision makers insight into the relationships between threats and vulnerabilities. 

RM Analysts duties involve the processing and converting of raw data from various sources into useable information. RM Analysts receive, analyze, report and disseminate this information that is critical to the success of Balad Air Base's mission.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze and produce intelligence information.
  • Evaluate intelligence to determine accuracy and disseminate to appropriate levels of command.
  • Create databases regarding security incidents from a variety of sources.
  • Prepare and present intelligence displays, reports and briefings.
  • Produce intelligence reports and threat assessments.
  • Monitor all-source information to proactively identify and assess threats that could potentially impact operations.
  • Complete projects and products at the direction of the Risk Management Program Intelligence Manager.
  • Utilize structured analytic techniques to develop tailored intelligence products and provide threat warning notifications to Sallyport decision-makers, regionally and globally.
  • Follow company procedures and processes as it relates to Sallyport Global best practices and handling of information.

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • RM Analysts must be proficient in the use of basic intelligence computer applications and intelligence-related automation, including MS Office Product Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Substantial research and writing skills are required.

Minimum qualifications and education requirements:

  • Four years of analytical experience within the DoD or equivalent government agencies, with operational level experience preferred.
  • Experience working in both individual and team environments.
  • The ability to multi-task under minimal supervision

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in South West Asia regional issues and All-Source or political/military analysis preferred.
