Summary of essential job functions:

Sallyport is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise in an austere, international environment. 

 

In this role, you will provide professional Human Resources management to the regional HR business staff and Country Management team. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the HR strategy in all areas of recruitment, organizational design, retention and reward, and employee engagement. You will assist with the overall management of the base operations HR Department, including managing a wide range of HR-related support, advice, strategies and planning related to manpower, services, support and cultural affairs. You will report to the In-Country Manager and corporate HR leadership, and supervise over fifteen HR staff members.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Oversees appropriate HR staff and support functions
  • Responsible for distribution of employee contracts and EOC renewals, performance evaluation notifications, promotions and terminations, salary increments, and deductions and all actions related to employee salary changes or discrepancies (i.e. changes in benefit deductions).
  • Compiles and reports employee data and HR metrics
  • Directs global talent acquisition programs and tasks
  • Oversees employee and labor relations programs and tasks
  • Performs regular audits to ensure integrity of personnel data.
  • Performs general tasks in such areas as employee records filing/retention, benefits administration, internal/external reporting requests, and total rewards programs and tasks
  • Facilitates and conducts new employee orientation, benefits enrollment and employee out processing.
  • Accomplishes response and follow-up tasks to corrective action notices, audit findings, and workplace investigations when necessary.
  • Provides guidance and interpretation to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures. Acts as site point of contact for benefits, policy/procedure and personnel related questions.
  • Identifies HR process gaps and develops policies and procedures to address those gaps
  • Accomplish HR key performance indicator (KPI) data collection (including surveys) and submissions
  • Manages tasks associated with property accountability
  • Works collaboratively across functional areas such as Recruiting, Staffing and HR Travel
  • Accomplishes other duties as assigned. (The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.)

 

Desired knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, U.S. employment and labor laws, HRIS systems, and applicant tracking systems
  • Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills Advanced ability to handle multiple tasks and details in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Extremely flexible, with the ability to work through stressful situations in a professional manner

 

Minimum qualifications and education requirements:

  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years Human Resources experience, including previous experience in a management or supervisory capacity
  • Previous overseas experience in an austere environment is highly preferred
  • MBA/MSHRM preferred; BS/BA required. (In some cases, experience can be substituted in lieu of education.)
  • GPHR certification a plus
