Summary of essential job functions:

Caliburn seeking a Senior Director for Intelligence Services to primarily support the Intelligence & Security (I&S) sector with assigned program management oversight duties in other business sectors. This position can be located in Reston, VA and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The candidate will be responsible for building winning strategies and effectively managing key program captures. Candidate must have a strong program management skillset, a deep   understanding of the IC market, and will need to bring, develop and maintain relevant business relationships within the IC space. 

We are seeking a self-motivated, highly experienced, and entrepreneurial individual with the ability and drive to have an impact from tactical-level pursuits to company-wide strategies across the company's dynamic and expanding organization. The ideal candidate will be able to assess current capabilities and operate effectively utilizing a matrix organization support structure.


Essential roles and responsibilities:

  • Must have strong team building, strategic communication and program management skills
  • Understanding of federal government planning, programming and resourcing processes
  • Ability to manage and report on program execution results at the executive level
  • Mature new business pipeline opportunities proportionate to growth goals of the organization.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a detailed account plan that aligns with Caliburn's strategic direction as well as the Intelligence community (IC) mission, vision and objectives.
  • Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company's overall strategy and manage multiple business initiatives concurrently.
  • Lead and organize a team to win and execute new business; provide inputs to the BD and proposal team in the development of marketing strategies to win new work.
  • Develop and brief opportunity win strategy at an executive level; identify and qualify opportunities through the milestone process and brief senior leadership for pursuit approval
  • Form key partnerships impacting the growth of the federal market segment.
  • Lead and conduct color team reviews.
  • Participate in pricing strategy and basis of estimates work
  • Conduct complex analyses of competitor products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to identify customer objectives, priorities, and requirements and to position Caliburn as an innovative industry leader.
  • Develop and maintain strong industry relations with large and small businesses with significant IC presence.



This position is headquartered out of Reston, VA, but may require occasional travel.


Desired knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of federal procurement processes required
  • Executive level program leadership experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills including reporting wins/losses, performance, goals, and commitments to Company executive team
  • Demonstrated success in creating/maintaining relationships with senior internal and external business leaders
  • Possess and display high ethical and business standards


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years related business development services experience.
  • Recent and relevant experience with IC program captures and/or execution with a focus on IT related markets.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership qualifications, with potential for progressive responsibility and leadership positions in the Corporation.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain the required security clearance.
    • Top Secret clearance preferred; current Secret clearance is the minimum requirement.
